Hello

My name is Sarah and I am an artist living in Pennsylvania. I find much about existence deeply troubling from the planet being on fire, gun violence, and the prison and criminal justice system. It’s distressing. It has been hard for me to find a path that feels meaningful in the midst of the horrors happening in the world, but I find that in making my art I feel a little better.

In May of 2022, I graduated with a degree in English and Philosophy. My education strengthened my love for language and the power it holds in shaping our beliefs and philosophies. The word “sonder” is especially meaningful to me because a beautiful perspective is wrapped up in 6 letters. Everyone is living their own complex lives with their own set of dreams, fears, and hopes. It’s pretty powerful to think about, and helps me have more compassion for those around me.

I find so much solace and am deeply inspired by nature. In my time outside of ceramics, I enjoy reading, writing, and watching the Great British Baking Show.

My wish for this business is to create cozy art that helps fend off the existential dread.
